Immune Support by Legion Athletics

Immune is a 100% natural immune support supplement that helps prevent sickness, reduces the severity of illness, and speeds up recuperation.

Pity our poor immune system.

It works 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to protect us against harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, and due to the realities of modern living, its job is getting harder and harder.

The forces working against our body’s defense system are powerful and prevalent:

  • Stress

  • Insufficient sleep

  • Insufficient exercise

  • Insufficient nutrition

  • Poor hygiene

That’s why it’s vital to maintain a healthy lifestyle if you want to minimize your chances of illness, disease, and dysfunction.

And first and foremost, that means limiting stress, sleeping and exercising enough, and eating well.

Supplementation can help, too, and especially with fighting off respiratory infections like the common cold and flu.

Immune is a 100% natural immune support supplement that improves the immune system’s ability to find and eliminate pathogens, impairs the function of harmful bacteria and viruses, and enhances mood and well-being when sick.

That is, Immune helps prevent sickness, reduce the severity of illness, and speed up recuperation.

The reason Immune is so effective is simple:

Every ingredient is backed by peer-reviewed scientific research and is included at clinically effective levels.

That means the ingredients and doses in Immune are based on published scientific research demonstrating real benefits, not the restrictions of razor-thin production budgets or gluttonous profit margins.

What’s more, it includes powerful substances not found in your average immunity supplement, including guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius), and African geranium (Pelargonium sidoides).

In other words, while everyone claims to have the best immunity supplement on the market, Legion can actually back it up with real science and real numbers.

So, if you want to get sick less often and feel better and recover faster when you do come down with something, Immune is for you.

Let’s take a look at the formulation.

Tinospora Cordifolia

Tinospora cordifolia (also known as guduchi and amrit) is a shrub native to India that has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries.

It contains molecules known as polysaccharides and terpenoids that increase the killing capacity of macrophages, which are cells that help destroy harmful bacteria and viruses.[1][2]

This is why research shows that supplementation with Tinospora cordifolia reduces nasal congestion and discharge and sneezing. [3]

The clinically effective dose of Tinospora cordifolia is 900 milligrams.

Immune contains 300 milligrams of Tinospora cordifolia per serving.

We chose this amount per serving because we intend for people to take several servings per day when around sick people or sick themselves.

Panax Quinquefolius

Panax quinquefolius (also known as American ginseng and North American ginseng) is an herb that grows mainly in North America and China and has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine.

It contains molecules known as saccharides that stimulate the immune system, improving its ability to fight off harmful invaders.[4][5][6]

This is why research shows that supplementation with Panax quinquefolius reduces cold and flu infection rates. [7][8][9]

The clinically effective dose of Panax quinquefolius is between 400 and 1,125 milligrams.

Immune contains 300 milligrams of Panax quinquefolius per serving.

We chose this amount per serving because we intend for people to take several servings per day when around sick people or sick themselves.

Pelargonium Sidoides

Pelargonium sidoides (also known as African geranium and black geranium) is an herb long used in South African traditional medicine.

It contains several molecules, including umckalin and related substances that prevent bacteria and viruses from adhering to cells, making it harder for them to affect you.[10]

This is why research shows that supplementation with Pelargonium sidoides . . .

  • Dramatically reduces the duration and severity of acute bronchitis[11]

  • May reduce the duration and severity of the common cold[12]

The clinically effective dose of Pelargonium sidoides is around 800 milligrams of the raw plant.

Immune contains 266 milligrams of Pelargonium sidoides per serving.

We chose this amount per serving because we intend for people to take several servings per day when around sick people or sick themselves.

Aged Garlic Extract

Aged garlic extract is a substance made from garlic that has been aged for several weeks or months to reduce odor and enhance nutritional properties.

It contains an antioxidant known as S-allylcysteine as well as various molecules that supply the body with sulfur, and this aids the immune system by improving the body’s ability to fight off pathogens.[13]

That’s why research shows that supplementation with aged garlic extract reduces the severity of colds and flus and improves vitality and well-being when sick.[14]

Studies also show that supplementation with aged garlic extract provides other benefits, including. . .

  • Lower blood pressure[15]

  • Improved blood flow and arterial health, which reduces the risk of heart disease [16][17][18][19]

  • Improved cholesterol profile, which also reduces the risk of heart disease[20]

  • Increased activity of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione, which reduces oxidative stress in cells[21]

The clinically effective dose of aged garlic extract is between 600 and 1,200 milligrams.

Immune contains 300 milligrams of aged garlic extract per serving.

We chose this amount per serving because we intend for people to take several servings per day when around sick people or sick themselves.

Zinc

Zinc is a mineral used to create enzymes, proteins, and cells, release vitamin A from the liver, and regulate immune function.

It aids the immune system by enhancing the development and function of several types of cells that are vital to its operations.

This is why research shows that a zinc deficiency increases infection rates of various pathogens and supplementing with it when sick reduces the duration and severity of sickness.[22][23][24][25]

The clinically effective dose of zinc for the purposes of preventing a deficiency is 8 to 11 milligrams per day, and for reducing the duration and severity of sickness, 80 to 100 milligrams per day.

Immune contains 2 milligrams of zinc per serving.

We chose a small amount of zinc per serving for two reasons:

  1. So people can take it alongside our multivitamin, Triumph which contains 30 milligrams of zinc per serving, without exceeding the upper tolerable limit of daily zinc consumption or experiencing nausea.

  2. The studies demonstrating zinc’s effectiveness when sick used lozenges, and we can’t be sure oral supplementation would be equally effective.

That said, if you’d like to bump up your zinc intake when around sick people or sick yourself, research shows that lozenges providing 80 to 100 milligrams per day is ideal.[26]

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps maintain healthy tissues, teeth, and gums, promote wound healing, and support immune function.

It aids the immune system by assisting with the development and function of several types of cells that are vital to its operations.

This is why research shows that an inadequate intake of vitamin C increases infection rates of various pathogens and supplementing with it when sick with the common cold reduces the duration of sickness.[27][28][29]

Studies also show that in athletes, daily supplementation of vitamin C reduces the risk of the common cold.[30]

The clinically effective dose of vitamin C for the purposes of reducing the duration of the common cold is between 1 and 8 grams per day, with higher doses generally used for the first day or two of sickness and followed by a lower daily amount.

And for athletes wanting to prevent sickness, the clinically effective dose of vitamin C is 1 to 2 grams per day.

Immune contains 500 milligrams of vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) per serving.

We chose this amount per serving because we intend for people to take several servings per day when around sick people or sick themselves.
