Kicking off in August, the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation will introduce a new education program for youth and adults who have little or no outdoor experience, but who are interested in learning how to hunt. The Heritage Hunt Program uses a learn-to-hunt curriculum that will take participants from the classroom, to the field, to the table.
The Heritage Hunt will be offered at no cost to participants. All educational materials, firearms, ammunition, hunting licenses, birds and fees will be covered. This course is designed and intended for participants with little or no hunting experience. Youth must be accompanied by an adult also interested in learning to hunt. Regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or physical ability, all are encouraged to participate. The Heritage Hunt Program is in accordance with the Council to Advance Hunting and The Shooting Sports best practices to recruit, retain and reactivate (or R3) conservationists.
